Directions to Mike and Jayne’s house

The on-line mapping tools give perfectly usable directions, but no matter where you’re coming from they tell you directions that are less than optimal. So here you go:

From SF, Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville, Alameda area

1. Take 80 East toward Richmond/Sacramento
2. Take Appian Way exit
3. Rt. on Appian Way at end of exit
4. Veer left onto Valley View when Appian way splits. You'll know you went the correct way if you see a nursery a couple blocks up on the right.
5. Left onto Fleetwood, which is about 15 seconds past the nursery, just across from a school. If you pass Albertsons on your left you've gone too far.
6. Make an immediate left on Meadowbrook drive. Take to the end.
7. Left on Fieldcrest. I'm just two houses down on Right. House is gray with blue-green trim.

From Marin:

1. Take the San Rafael Bridge to Richmond and exit at Richmond Parkway.
2. Follow all signs for the Richmond parkway
3. Once you're on the parkway, go about 8 miles until you hit HWY 80.
4. When you get to HWY 80, take the freeway eastbound
5. Exit immediately at Appian Way
6. Rt. on Appian Way at end of exit, and continue as above from step 3.

From other areas like Lafayette, Orinda, Walnut Creek, HWY 680 & 24:

1. Take 24 to the Orinda Exit.
2. From the exit, go north on Camino Pablo to San Pablo Dam Road.
3. Follow San Pablo Dam Road past the lake.
4. Make a right onto Valley View at the second stoplight past the lake.  You'll see a Shell station at the intersection.
5. Take Valley View for exactly 1 mile, and make a right onto Fleetwood. (If you get to Appian Way, you've gone too far.)
6. Make an immediate left on Meadowbrook drive. Take to the end.
7. Left on Fieldcrest. We're two houses down on Right. House is gray with blue-green trim.
