Annual 4th of July trip to Ashland - 2004
As usual we headed up to Ashland for the 4th of July holiday. We were there for about nine days this time. We saw four plays and did some hiking along with the requisite hanging out with friends. James and Julie were there as usual, and this time Jim and Lily O'Brien came up as well. Brian and Rachael joined us a few days later. We went to the parade for the first time – small town fun indeed. I don't know why we don't have any pictures-----??? Maybe next year. We watched fireworks at the highschool – more small town fun....kids running everywhere with sparklers and folks just enjoying the warm summer night on the baseball field. We drove up to Mt. Ashland and walked on a portion of the Pacific Coast Trail and talked of ambitious plans to travel along more of it at some point in the future.

We also met with our builder on this trip. We walked out where the driveway will go and got a pretty good idea as to where the house is going.
